Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 3, 2026
We want every family to be able to use this website and enjoy our play space. Here's what we've done, where we know we fall short, and how to reach us if something isn't working.
Our commitment
DigLand Kids is committed to making our website accessible to people with disabilities. An accessible site lets visitors with disabilities browse with the same ease and enjoyment as everyone else, whether they use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text and stronger contrast.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is a work in progress rather than a finished claim — we have not had the site independently audited, and we would rather say so than overstate it.
What we've built in
Across this website we have:
- used real headings in a logical order, so screen reader users can navigate by structure;
- written descriptive alternative text for photographs, and marked decorative images so they are skipped;
- made every menu, form, and expandable question work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline;
- labelled every form field, rather than relying on placeholder text;
- chosen text and background colours that meet the contrast requirements;
- used standard, built-in components for expandable content, so assistive technology announces them correctly;
- made the site work at any screen size and when text is zoomed, without content being cut off or requiring sideways scrolling;
- kept animation minimal and avoided anything that flashes or moves on its own;
- set the page language so screen readers use the right voice.
Where we know we fall short
Our online payment step is handled by Square, a third party. We don't control that page, so we cannot guarantee its accessibility. If checking out online is difficult for you, call us on (201) 972-5123 and we will take your booking and payment directly.
Visiting the play space
Our play space is on Level 1 at 301 Mt Hope Ave, Suite 1031A Level 1, Rockaway, NJ 07866.
If you have specific access needs — mobility, sensory, or anything else — please call us before your visit on (201) 972-5123. We would much rather talk it through in advance and make sure your visit goes well. We can also arrange a quieter time slot for children who find busy sessions overwhelming.
Tell us if something isn't working
